I'm looking for a new BB bull to replace Pete this year. I have/going to keep all his heifers for replacement heifers for my herd.
I have always wanted a Belgian Blue now I finally got one.
The Belgian Blue is a docile animal with an impressive muscle mass also often called double-muscle. Having a fine bone structure and fine muscle fibers resulting in lean and tender meat. Their calves are born just like a hereford and don't start developing the muscle mass until it is 3 weeks to a month.
No growth hormones are used or antibiotics unless they need it. If one of our calves get scours, we use Pepto-Bismol
Pete is very easy to work with and sometimes I forget he is bull.
He passes his personality on to his calves which they too are very quiet and easy to work with.
